Design for a logo

My philately club members entrusted me the work to create a design for a logo to our forthcoming South
Region Philatelic Exhibition to be held in January,2012.With lot of spade work,I created a name for our
Exhibition-"COPHIX" and  several designs, whatever came in my mind,I just drew. After a struggle of 10 days,I finished the work and send them to Mr.Jai Parameshwar,Vice President of Coimbatore chapter by courier.He will look into it and if it is OK then he will send them to the Chairman of the Exhibition Committee,Dr. Viswaroop.I wait for the results.I do not know,how many members accepted the name"COPHIX"..That is Coimbatore Philatelic Exhibition.The postal department has already named for their philatelic exhibitions as KOVAIPEX.So we can not use this name.COPHIX represends only our club.I drew some 12 designs for the logo.I will pass or fail in this,I do not know.

Useful tips

In the afternoon,I finished the works and had some free time..A technician came to repair the geyser in our bath room.When he was working,I was reading a book.I got some useful tips for our day to day life.

1) If you run short of urad dal while making dosas or idlis add some ladys fingers which have been ground into a paste.The dosas will  be soft.
2) While frying if  lot of oil is to be used up add half tea spoon of salt in the oil and fry.This reduces the
quantity of oil being used.
3) Add a strip of lemon peel to cauliflower while cooking.The vegetable will retain its fresh white color.
4) Cereals will get cooked faster,if you add a piece of cucumber while cooking.
5)Do not put naphthalene balls in a box where you pack zari sarees.The color of saree will turn black

These tips are very useful to anyone.

New Year cake-Preparations

Few more days for the New Year.Last week,I cut all the dry fruits and soak them in rum.It has to be soaked  for 21 days,i.e. 3 weeks.The dry fruits I put are cashew nuts,walnuts,dates,orange peel,black currant,kismis and
badam.Along with these,elaichi powder and little garam masala I put.Mix all these and soak in either rum or
wine.Every year, I bake the rich christmas cake for 2 kilos.It lasts for 2 months.I love baking different new items.I watch 'Masterchef India' on Starplus onSaturday and Sunday nights.Very interesting.I learnt lot of new items.I have to try them.

Beach resort,Nusa Dua,Bali.

The hotel we stayed in Bali is fantastic.Thoroughly enjoyed the exclusive beach.We did morning walks with the
beautiful sun rise.Sand walk was little difficult but enjoyed.Dinner at the sea shore was wonderful.I did little shopping at different places.We spent lakhs of ruppia for each and every thing!Even our breakfast costs at
4 or 5 lakh ruppia! When we were in indonesia, we were multi millioners!!!!!!!!!!Yes 1 doller is   equal to 41,000/- ruppia!Just imagine,how we spent.I like the Mall,Matahari.Shopping at Kuta is interesting.
We had lunch at a very small hotel from where we can see the valcano mountain.scenic beauty was very good.

Bali Zoo

                                       
I bought two T shirts for me.We could get Indian food.Several Indian restaurants are there.Balinese are very nice and soft spoken.Their artistic craftsmanship in wood was superb!The hand batik is very famous.I am eager to visit once again.

My visit to Bali,Indonesia

 Our Bali trip was fantastic.When we arrived at the Bali airport,we were picked up by the hotel car and driven
 to Nusa Dua.We stayed in Beach resort,Nusa Dua.A five star accomodation.Stayed there for five days.We arranged a car for all the days.The Balinese driver,Moosa was very kind and he took us all the important
places.
Balis natural attractions include miles of sandy beaches,picturesque rice terraces,towering active volcanoes,
fast flowing rivers,deep ravines,pristine crater lakes,sacred caves and lush tropical forests full of exotic wild
life.There are many temples everywhere with balinese architecture..In all the temples we had to wear Sarong.
We enjoyed River rafting very much.since this is the first time.It was scary when our boat hit the rocks.Raft along the Ayung river a two hour journey through rain forests.wonderful experience!

First two times I closed my eyes as it was terrible when the boat  dashed down from very high level.After three four dashes ,I got courage to look forward for huge crash.Water splashed with thunder.

 .Enjoyable.We both were fully wet.

My daughters,Suman and Subhashree( Tikku) are always cheerful.My grand children-Oh! what to say!They are very mischievous.We get entertainment all the time except they sleep.Lovely kids!Both,Siddharth and Sneha play UNO well.
Our family is a close knit family.All are very cheerful.

Cool days

 ,December,15the 2010.Only two weeks left in this year.Rains stopped and winter is slowly setting in.

Every morning,I watch the beautiful sun rise.Enjoyable.One day,I clicked in my digital camara from my kitchen window.In the other side of the balcony,a big sit out,we can see Marudhamalai surrounded by many
hills. These  beautiful pictures  will decorate my drawing room one day  in the form of oil painting!

Coimbatoreans experience the fine weather of winter with mist and chillness.We enjoy the cool breeze.
